The textures were made this way because even with MGE vanilla Morrowind couldn't properly display some advanced texture stuff, so MGE developers created this very hackish way how to emulate them. The shiny rocks are actually the correct way how to display textures you installed with MGSO. It's commandline tool called "openmw-essimporter" and should have been installed together with OpenMW.Ģ.
OpenMW uses different file format for savegames, there was some work on importer/converter between openmw and vanilla morrowind formats, but I am not sure how complete that is. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!ġ. Is there a solution to these problems, and in general what measures would you reccomend a new OpenMW user coming from MGSO take? I have searched these forums and google, however did not find a clear answer on this topic so I figured I would create one now. While I am well aware that distant land is not implemented yet, I am noticing a number of other things seem to be missing that we're installed using MGSO as well, most notably all of the grass and unique trees. For some unknown reason, all of the rocks are really shiny.taking on an almost silver hue.ģ. I cannot load my save game, meaning I would essentially have to start from scratch.Ģ. I had it up and runing in like 2 minutes! I am however, noticing a few sore points though that I am hoping there is a solution for.ġ.
I downloaded and installed OpenMW today, and I do like how straightforward the setup was. Infact, I only installed MWSE the other day to attempt to fix the crashing, however it did not seem to help at all. I decided to try OpenMW however, because I was noticing a fair amount of CTD's when playing (like 2-5 times per hour) wich got annoying after a while. Hello everyone! I normally run Morrowind with the MGSO mod pack installed, along with MWSE.
